Grouper Evolution Brings RSS Newsfeeds to Affiliate Marketing A new version of Grouper Evolution generates RSS newsfeeds with affiliate links for participants in the affiliate programs of Amazon.com, Shopping.com, and AllPosters.com. OREM, Utah--6 October 2005--Gecko Tribe, LLC is pleased to announce the release of version 1.5 of Grouper Evolution, adding new capabilities for generating RSS newsfeeds for affiliate marketers. Participants in the Amazon.com, Shopping.com and AllPosters.com affiliates programs can now use Grouper Evolution to convert XML-formatted search results from those sites to RSS newsfeeds with their affiliate IDs embedded in the product links. The feeds may be published directly to consumers, or may be used to generate webpages using an RSS to HTML converter, such as Gecko Tribe's CaRP Evolution. The release of the new affiliates plugins represents a shift in the primary focus of Grouper from a website scraper to an XML converter. The original version scraped Google News and Yahoo! News search results and converted them to RSS, but with both sites now publishing their own RSS feeds, the need for Grouper's scraping capabilities has been reduced. While Grouper does retain some scraping capabilities, its ability to convert newsfeeds from older RSS formats, the Atom format, affiliates and other XML formats to RSS have now taken center stage. Plugins for additional affiliates and other XML formats are expected in the future.
