Jawfish Tips

As of yesterday, Jawfish can now display channel dates, and both channel and item URLs. Previously, item dates were displayable, but not channel date, and URLs couldn't be displayed outside the context of a link. The addition of the option to display URLs enables Jawfish users to configure their feeds so that when links are clicked, a new window of a specific size is opened using a technique described in our CaRP Tips weblog.

We also updated the "Advanced Formatting" user interface to make it easier to find the settings you're looking for. Rather than one monolithic form with all of the output settings, we now have a separate form for each output field, which you get to by clicking a link on an example feed. This makes it easy to choose the part of the feed you wish to configure and find all of the settings relevant to that part of the feed.

Finally, Jawfish can now display channel fields both after the items as well as before them. This option can be configured using the Advanced Formatting interface.
